The Gabi® Mats were developed to be used to retain soil as a replacement for gabion baskets or boulder walls. Gabi® Blocks are a smart and cost effective alternative to the old fashioned Reno Mattress.

The advantages of our Gabi® Blocks far outweigh the gabion rock and wire cage basket system. 

With a standard size 270 x 1185 x 1185 the Gabi® Mat has great versatility. It has numerous applications, some of the more common being:

o Retaining walls
o Slope stabilization
o Bridge abutments
o Soil erosion control, on head walls, pipe outlets and spill ways
o Pond bank control.

Reinforced turf...
A unique application where the Gabi® Mat can be laid in soft wet conditions, then turfed. This provides a firm surface for regular usage including that of vehicles.

The costs of replacing the conventional Gabions can be as much as 4 times their installation cost, whereas our products, the Gabi® Mat can be reused as needed simply by lifting out and lifting back into position.

This ensures that all services, such as electric, gas, sewerage and water, are easily accessible at all times.

Note that the process of removing and replacing Gabi® Mats in an existing structure will not affect the appearance or standard integrity of a built structure.
